A Shell Is A Home

Shells are remnants of what was once a home. This project repurposes shell fragments into a series of architectural studies using ceramic stoneware forms and abalone shells. Imagining habitable spaces that integrate nature is at the heart of my archietctural practice.

These black and white images reflect the project’s focus on materials, form, aperture, and scale. The body of work consists of three geometric vessels (pyramid, sphere, and cube) that explore how architecture can house forms borrowed from nature.
